Bach Society of Saint Louis to Present ‘Voices of Praise’ Community Concert

By David Salazar

The Bach Society of Saint Louis is set to present a community concert ” Bach in the Community: Voices of Praise” on Oct. 23, 2022.

The showcase, which will take place at St. Clare of Assisi Catholic Church in O’Fallon, Illinois, will feature selections from Bach’s “St. Matthew Passion,” Händel’s “Messiah,” and works by William L. Dawson.

“We are excited to bring the Bach Society back to St. Clare this year, thanks to the generous support of our community partners,” says St. Clare Music Director and Bach Society Assistant Conductor Stephen Eros, “We hope those who joined us last year will come again and bring their friends! God’s presence is revealed through encounters with beauty, especially in sacred songs. For this reason, the Church has been a proponent of the arts for centuries. St. Clare is happy to contribute to this mission by presenting ‘Bach in the Community: Voices of Praise.’”

The event is presented by Jim and Kim Sabella of Wolfersberger Funeral Home.
