Bach Collegium Japan to Present ‘Messiah’

The Bach Collegium Japan will present Händel’s “Messiah” at Suntory Hall on Dec. 24, 2023.

The showcase will be conducted by Masaaki Suzuki and features Eri Sawae, Clint van der Linde, Seil Kim, and Paul Max Tipton as the soloists.

Sawae, was previously a member of the Bach Collegium Japan chorus while van der Linde previously performed with an ensemble for a performance of “Rinaldo” in Edinburgh. Kim has appeared in “Messiah” performances with the National Chorus of Korea while Tipton recently performed Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony with Bach Collegium Japan in 2022.

The performance kicks off at 4 p.m. local time. Audiences can also livestream the event on the Digital Suntory Hall platform.
