AVA will showcase a unique recital entitled “Forgotten Opera Excerpts by Jules Massenet” on May 3 and 5, 2020 at the Helen Corning Warden Theater.

Pianist and Music Director Audrey Saint-Gil will lead the evening with resident artists performing select duets and arias. The performers include Aubry Ballarò, Claire de Monteil, Yihan Duan, Emily Margevich, Renée Richardson, Alice Chung, Chelsea Laggan, Anne Marie Stanley, Oliver Sewell, and Eric Delagrange.

Audience members will hear samples from such Massenet works as “Grisélidis,” “La Navarraise,” “La Roi de Lahore,” “Cleopatre,” “Le Mage,” “Sapho, and “Araine.”

Saint-Gil attended the Conservatoire National de Musique de Toulouse where she was awarded three first prizes with distinction in piano solo, chamber music, and vocal coaching. She is represented by Opus 3 Artists as a conductor and she recently made her debut at the Narnia Festival in Italy.
