The Academy of Vocal Arts will present “Jubilate! A Concert of Sacred Music” this March.

The showcase will feature music by Mozart, Händel, Dubois, Bellini, Dvorák, Rossini, Bizet, Puccini, Wagner, Clysedale, Lofton, Carter, and Verdi. Performers include Emily Margevich, Kevin Godínez, Manli Deng, Shawn Roth, Luke Norvell, Lydia Grindatto, Angel Raii Gomez, Dylan Gregg, Matthew Goodheart, Ethel Trujillo, Ariana Maubach, Veronica Richer, Alla Yarosh, Luke Norvell, Nan Wang, Alla Yarosh, Cumhur Görgün, Geoffrey Schmelzer, Jenny Anne Flory, Joshua Berg, and Monique Galvão. David Antony Lofton will conduct.

“This concert is multifaceted. I select pieces that highlight particular skills of the singers while creating a program that covers different styles. We have gone from baroque to contemporary sacred music, and that’s the wonderful thing – these singers have a great ability to sing so many different styles,” said Lofton, per an official press statement issued by the institution.

The program opens on March 16 at 7:30 p.m. at the Church of the Redeemer in Bryn Mawr, PA. Then on March 17, audiences in Philadelphia will get their own 7 p.m. show at the Church of the Holy Trinity.
