The recital will feature Jeannine B. Cowles Music Director Chair Maestro Christofer Macatsoris and José Meléndez on piano. Soloists will be announced soon and will be made up of students currently studying at the famed institution.

The special two-night engagements will feature operatic duets from “The Pearl Fishers,” “Carmen” and others, as well as selections by Cole Porter, Leonard Bernstein, and Kurt Weill.

Both performances are scheduled to be held in AVA’s Helen Corning Warden Theater at 7:30PM.

This season, AVA is set to mount a production of Donizetti’s “La Favorite,” in addition to showcasing a spring recital. The Academy’s season will conclude with a rendition of Verdi’s “Un Ballo in Maschera.”
