Audrey Luna will make her Mostly Mozart Festival debut, stepping in for Christina Poulitsi as the Queen of the Night in “The magic Flute.”

Luna will be performing on July 17 and 19. Per a press release, Poulitsi has withdrawn due to illness.

Luna is no stranger to New York audiences, having appeared prominently in such Met Opera productions as “The Exterminating Angel” and “The Tempest,” both works by Thomas Adès.

The production by Barrie Kosky and Suzanne Andrade is among one of the most hotly anticipated events of the New York summer season. The production, which originated at the Komische Oper Berlin has been performed around the world and was even nominated in Australia for the Helpmann Awards, which will be presented on July 14 and 15, 2019.
