Audra MacDonald Postpones Teatro Real Recital

Audra MacDonald has postponed her recital at the Teatro Real de Madrid in Spain.

The singer and actress was forced to reschedule the highly anticipated recital due to restrictions imposed by COVID-19. The concert, which was scheduled to be performed on Sept. 13, was set to be an hommage to the music of Broadway.

Per the announcement, there are plans to rescheduled the recital for 2021.

MacDonald is best known for her participation in the Broadway shows “Ragtime,” “Carousel,” and “Porgy and Bess.” She has also starred in “The Good Wife” and “The Good Fight” as well as “Beauty Beast.”

She has also performed with the Philadelphia Orchestra, New York Philharmonic, Boston Symphony, Chicago Symphony, Cleveland Orchestra, Los Angeles Philharmonic, and LA Opera. She is a two-time Grammy award winner.
