The Auditorium of the Lyon National Orchestra ‘s 2026-27 season which centers on music by Czech composers is announced.

Mezzo-soprano Catriona Morison solos in Elgar’s “Sea Pictures” with the Lyon National Orchestra led by Nikolaj Szeps-Znaider.

Sopranos Tereza Zimková and Pavla Radostová, countertenor Jonathan Mayenschein, tenor Ondřej Holub, bass-baritone Tomáš Šelc serve as soloists with Collegium Vocale 1704 and Collegium 1704. Václav Luks directs Handel
“Dixit Dominus “(Psalm 109), HWV 232 and Zelenka’s “Votive Mass” ZWV 18.

Contralto Wiebke Lehmkuhl and baritone Konstantin Krimmel perform in Mahler’s Lieder aus “Des Knaben Wunderhorn.” Nikolaj Szeps-Znaider directs the National Orchestra of Lyon.

Performance Dates: Dec. 11 & 12, 2026

Mahler’s “Symphony” No. 2 is performed by the National Orchestra of Lyon Spirito Choir and Young Choir of Lyon.
