The Auditorio of Zaragoza, Spain has been forced to cancel its activity in the coming days due to Storm Filomena, which left the city blanketed with several inches of snow.

As a result, Javier Camarena’s recital scheduled for Jan. 12 has been postponed until June 25. The famed Mexican tenor is set to perform alongside Ángel Rodríguez.

In a statement, the theater noted that the postponement ensured the safety of audience members who could be traveling.

Camarena is currently on tour in Spain where he is performing in Bilbao, Madrid, and Barcelona and singing a program that consists of works by Donizetti, Lalo, Tosti, Delibes, and others.

On Saturday, Jan. 9, Spain was hit with the worst snowstorm in nearly 50 years. The storm left 10 to 20 inches, four dead, and cities paralyzed.
