Atlanta Opera Announces 2021-22 Season

The Atlanta Opera has announced its 2021-22 Season featuring four mainstage productions.

Händel’s “Julius Caesar in Egypt” opens the season with Gary Wedow leading Tomer Zvulun’s new production. The opera will feature Jasmine Habersham and Meg Marino.

Performance Dates: Nov 6-14, 2021

The second work of the season will be W. S. Gilbert & Arthur Sullivan’s “The Pirates of Penzance.” Santiago Ballerini and Susanne Burgess and Craig Irvin star. Francesco Milioto conducts Seán Curran’s production.

Performance Dates: Jan. 22-30, 2022

Rossini’s “The Barber of Seville will be presented in a production by Michael Shell. Stephanie Lauricella, Giovanni Romeo, and David Crawford star with Music Director Arthur Fagen conducting.

Performance Dates: March 5-13, 2022

The mainstage season concludes with the much-anticipated Southeast premiere of Tomer Zvulun’s brand new production of “The (R)evolution of Steve Jobs” by Mason Bates and Mark Campbell. Sarah Larsen will star.

Performance Dates: April 30-May 8, 2022
