The Asolo Musica Veneto Musica festival opens its “Serenissime Dimore” series this weekend.

The series, now in its second edition under artistic director Vincenzo De Vivo, runs through Oct. 25 with 15 concerts across 14 villas in seven Veneto provinces.

“By reinterpreting the relationships between the Venetian aristocracy and the world of culture, art, and science, the festival program allows us to create connections that illuminate events, personalities, and works,” Vincenzo De Vivo said, per an official press release.

The opening weekend begins at Villa Priuli Crisanti in Val Liona, where the Accademia dei Golosi performs “Arias, Duets, Songs to Play.” The program features music by Monteverdi, Legrenzi, Frescobaldi, Castello, Albinoni, Vivaldi, and Händel.

The following night, at the Granary of Villa Buzzati in Belluno, Oficina Musicum Venetiae performs “Partenope Serenissima,” pairing Vivaldi with Neapolitan composers Leo and Porpora.

Performance Date: Sept. 26, 2026

The weekend closes at Villa Badoer in Fratta Polesine, a Palladian villa and UNESCO World Heritage Site, with “Alessandro Scarlatti and Venice.” Soprano Fabiana Visentin and harpsichordist Riccardo Favero perform alongside Luca Della Libera.
