Asmik Grigorian has signed an exclusive contract with Alpha Classics.

After having triumphed on the stage, the soprano will release her highly anticipated first recording with pianist Lukas Geniušas. The album will be devoted to one of her favorite composers, Sergei Rachmaninov.

In a statement, the soprano noted “Most of Rachmaninov’s romances really demand operatic power. In fact, he wrote ‘mini-operas’ which last a few minutes.”

In addition to her first album, Grigorian recorded Shostakovich’s Symphony No. 14 with Matthias Goerne and Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France, conducted by Mikko Franck and will record with them the Four Last Songs by Strauss in June 2022.

Grigorian’s first album is set to be released in the spring of 2022.
