
Asmik Grigorian Leads Carnegie Hall Concert with Cleveland Orchestra
By Francisco SalazarAsmik Grigorian is set to return to New York for a concert at Carnegie Hall with the Cleveland Orchestra and Franz Welser-Möst.
The evening which will be held on March 18 at the Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage will showcase Grigorian in Strauss’ “Four Last Songs” and the Final Scene from Puccini’s “Suor Angelica.”
The concert will also showcase Welser-Möst in Haydn’s “Symphony No. 52 in C Minor and Janacek’s Suite from “From the House of the Dead.”
The evening is one of two with the Cleveland Orchestra and Welser-Möst at Carnegie Hall this season. The other concerts will showcase the conductor leading music by Stravinsky and Tchaikovsky.
Grigorian has performed “Suor Angelica” to great acclaim at the Salzburg Festival and will return to New York during the 2025-26 season for performances of “Eugene Onegin” at the Metropolitan Opera.
