Arizona Opera has named Katherine Kozak its new Head of Music, Chorus Master, and Principal Coach of the Pullin Opera Studio.

“I’m delighted to be joining this dynamic company, and am enthusiastic to get to know and collaborate with the staff, and the artists of the Studio and Chorus. I’m happily anticipating my move to the Phoenix area and becoming a part of the Arizona Opera community,” Kozak noted in an official statement.

Kozak, a Masters in Music in Vocal Coaching and Accompanying from the University of Illinois, has worked with such organizations as The Glimmerglass Festival, Palm Beach Opera, Florida Grand Opera, Dallas Opera, Santa Fe Opera, Opera Colorado, and Central City Opera, among others.

“We are thrilled to welcome Katherine to this high-impact role on the Arizona Opera team. Katherine brings tremendous experience to Arizona Opera as a pianist, coach, administrator, and chorus master, and we look forward to connecting her talent and passion to our productions and programs, and—most importantly—the communities that we serve,” said Arizona Opera General Director Joseph Specter added.
