
Arizona Opera Announces New Head of Music, Chorus Director & Principal Coach of the Marion Roose Pullin Studio
By Francisco SalazarArizona Opera has announced Aurelia Andrews as the Head of Music, Chorus Director, and Principal Coach of the Marion Roose Pullin Studio.
She will begin in her position at the beginning of the 2026-27 season.
Andrews is a highly regarded pianist, vocal coach, administrator, and educator, and joins Arizona Opera after two seasons as Head of Music at the Florentine Opera.
She is currently on the music staff at the Santa Fe Opera and has previously served in similar roles for companies across the United States and in Germany, including Los Angeles Opera, the Glimmerglass Festival, The Dallas Opera, Opera Theatre of Saint Louis, Theater und Orchester Heidelberg, Intermountain Opera Bozeman, and Pacific Opera Project.
In addition to her work with professional opera companies, Andrews is a guest coach and educator who has worked at such institutions as the University of Texas at Austin, University of North Texas, University of Iowa, Palm Beach Opera, Cedar Rapids Opera, and Los Angeles Opera.
