Arena di Verona Announces Three Broadcasts on Rai 3

The Arena di Verona is set to present three performances on Italy’s Rai 3.

The company announced that it will present “Carmen,” “La Traviata,” and “Nabucco” on TV and later on Rai Cultura, the streaming platform.

The first opera will be “Carmen” on July 21 with Clémentine Margaine in the title role, Gilda Fiume as Micaela, Brian Jadge as Don Josè, and Luca Micheletti as Escamillo. Marco Armiliato conducts the production by Franco Zeffirelli.

The second broadcast will be “La Traviata” on July 28. The work stars Nina Minasyan as Violetta Valéry, Vittorio Grigolo as Alfredo Germont, and Vladimir Stoyanov as Germont. Marco Armiliato conducts.

The final broadcast will be on August 4 with “Nabucco.” The production by Arnaud Bernard will star Sebastian Catana as Nabucco, Ewa Płonka as Abigaille, Francesca Di Sauro as Fenena, Abramo Rosalen as Zaccaria, and Samuele Simoncini as Ismaele. Daniel Oren conducts.

Fabrizio Guttuso Alaimo directs the broadcasts.
