The English Symphony Orchestra will open its Malvern residency with “The Joker’s Wild – Mischief in Music” on Nov. 12, 2025, at Malvern Theatres.

Soprano April Fredrick will headline the program, which includes performances of Haydn’s Symphony No. 60, “Il Distratto,” Weill’s “Cabaret Songs,” Schulhoff’s Suite for Chamber Orchestra, and Milhaud’s “The Ox on the Roof.” Kenneth Woods conducts.

The showcase kicks off at 7:30 p.m. local time.

Fredrick is also set to appear with the ensemble as part of its Cheltenham Residency in a concert scheduled for Dec. 2, 2025. In addition to her appearances with the English Symphony Orchestra, Fredrick has performed alongside the Orchestra of the Swan, Cheltenham Symphony Orchestra, D’Accord, Dei Gratia, Leicester Bach Choir, Paradiso Baroque, and the City of London Choir.
