Soprano Anna Samuil has been named an honorary professor of the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler in Berlin.

Samuil was presented a certificate on her last day at the school on April 27, 2023, by Rector Sarah Wedl-Wilson. Samuil has been teaching at the Eisler since 2011, and her voice class has already produced many successful graduates who have received engagements on internationally renowned stages and are prize winners of major competitions.

The Russian soprano has performed at the Berlin State Opera, the Teatro alla Scala, Metropolitan Opera, Bayerische Staatsoper, Semperoper Dresden, and Staatsoper Hamburg, among others.

She has also performed at the Salzburg Festival, in Aix-en-Provence and Edinburgh, in Glyndebourne, Verbier, and the Arena di Verona, as well as at the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino. Numerous CD and DVD recordings have been released with her participation.
