Anna Pirozzi, Amartuvshin Enkhbat, María José Siri & Ernesto Petti Lead Fondazione Teatri di Piacenza’s 2022-23 Season

The Fondazione Teatri di Piacenza has announced its 2022-23 season featuring opera, dance, youth programs and concerts. Here is a look at the operatic performances.

Opera

The season opens with Verdi’s “Rigoletto” in a production by Leo Nucci. Marco Ciaponi, Amartuvshin Enkhbat, Federica Guida, Mattia Denti, and Isabel De Paoli lead the cast with Francesco Ivan Ciampa conducting.

Performance Dates: Dec.13-18, 2022

Bruno Taddia, Filippo Mineccia, Delphine Galou, Federico Fiorio, and Giuseppina Bridelli star in Vivaldi’s “Il Tamerlano.” Ottavio Dantone conducts the production by Stefano Monti.

Performance Dates: Jan. 20 & 22, 2023

Debussy’s “Pelléas et Mélisande” will Monica Bacelli, Phillip Addis, Michael Bachtadze, Vincent Le Texier, and Enkeleida Shkoza. Marco Angius conducts the production by Barbe & Doucet.

Performance Dates: Feb 3 & 5 2023

Ernesto Petti, Chiara Isotton, Anna Maria Chiuri, and Angelo Villari star in Verdi’s “Il Trovatore” with Matteo Beltrami conducting. Stefano Monti directs.

Performance Dates: March 1-5, 2023

Giordano’s “Fedora” is set to be directed by Pier Luigi Pizzi and star Teresa Romano, Yuliya Tkachenko, Luciano Ganci, and Simone Piazzola. Aldo Sisillo conducts.

Performance Dates: Oct. 4-8, 2023

Michele Pertusi, Piero Pretti, Vasily Ladyuk, Ramaz Chikviladze, and Anna Pirozzi star in Verdi’s “Don Carlo” with Jordi Bernàcer conducting and Joseph Franconi Lee directing. 

Performance Dates: Nov. 10 & 12, 2023

Concerts 

Plácido Domingo and María José Siri star in a Verdi Gala with Francesco Ivan Ciampa conducting.

Performance Date: Nov. 22, 2022

Matteo Beltrami conducts Cherubini’s Requiem.

Performance Date: March 31, 2023

Young

Alfredo Salvatore Stillo conducts Mozart’s “The Magic Flute” with Caroline Leboutte directing.

Performance Date: March 22, 2023
