Anna Netrebko & Yusif Eyvazov To sing ‘Tristan Und Isolde’

Yusif Eyvazov has revealed that he and his wife Anna netrebko are planning to sing “Tristan und Isolde.”

In an interview with Forum Opera the tenor was asked about whether or not he would be singing Siegfried. In his response, he said “Anna and I are planning to sing ‘Tristan und Isolde’ but not ‘Siegfried.’ This is not, for now, just a project … A huge project. We have the time.”

Eyvazov also noted that he wanted to sing a number of French roles including Don José in “Carmen” and the title role of “Werther” and that Netrebko and he were planning on performing together in a Russian opera very soon.

Eyvazov and Netrebko are set to make appearances in France and will appear in one performance of “La Forza del Destino” at the Royal Opera House.
