The Arena di Verona has announced a special event in which Anna Netrebko and Yusif Eyvazov will perform a concert entitled “The Stars of Opera.”

The two stars will be joined by Daniela Barcellona and Ambrogio Maestri, as well as conductor Marco Armiliato.

The concert is scheduled for July 23 and will be part of an all-star festival which already includes a gala scheduled for Jonas Kaufmann and an evening featuring Plácido Domingo, in addition to numerous productions.

Netrebko made her Arena di Verona debut this past summer in Verdi’s “Il Trovatore” and received universal acclaim. Meanwhile, Eyvazov has performed at the Arena in “Aida” and “Il Trovatore.” The two recently completed concerts in Madrid and Barcelona and are set to continue their tour in Prague.

Netrebko opens the Teatro alla Scala’s 2019-20 season on Dec. 7 and reunites with Eyvazov to celebrate New Year’s Eve at the Metropolitan Opera where she will sing a gala performance featuring three Puccini heroines.
