On August 6 and 9, Anna Netrebko and Yusif Eyvazov will return to the Rome stage in a gala concert entitled “Omaggio a Roma.”

The two stars will join forces with maestro Jader Bignamini and the Orchestra del Teatro dell’Opera di Roma for an evening of music by Giuseppe Verdi, Francesco Cilea, Giacomo Puccini, Michail Glinka, Antonín Dvořák, Pietro Mascagni, and Umberto Giordano.

“We are very happy to be back in the eternal city. It is always very stimulating to visit such historical sites like the Vatican and the pantheon and walking hours through the streets of Rome. For us, it is particularly special because it is the city where we met six and half years ago and it is why we will always have ties to this city and the Teatro dell’Opera di Roma. We can’t wait to perform at the Circo Massimo,” said the couple.

The concert will conclude the Opera di Roma’s summer season.

Netrebko and Eyvazov first performed together in 2014 in a production of “Manon Lescaut” under Riccardo Muti.
