
Anna Netrebko to Sing Verdi’s ‘Requiem’ in Budapest

Müpa Budapest has announced that Verdi’s “Requiem” will be performed with Anna Netrebko making her role debut.
The soprano will return to the hall for the first time in 2016 and will be joined by Michelangelo Mazza, conducting the Cluj-Napoca Hungarian Opera..
Netrebko will be joined by mezzo Agnieszka Rehlis, tenor Matthew Polenzani, and bass Sándor Köpeczi.
The concert will be held on Jan. 9, 2026, at the Béla Bartók National Concert Hall.
Netrebko will also sing the Verdi Requiem at the Teatro alla Scala in October alongside Riccardo Chailly, Ekaterina Gubanova, Fabio Sartori, and Michele Pertusi. The soprano is also set to perform in Verdi’s “Un Ballo in Maschera,” “Nabucco,” and “Il Trovatore” this season.
