Anna Netrebko is set to return to the Arena di Verona in 2027.

The company announced the news in anticipation of the August 30, 2026 performance of “Aida,” which is sold out.

In 2027, the soprano is set to performance three times in three different productions. Netrebko will first take on the role of “Aida” on August 7 in the historic 1913 production curated by Gianfranco de Bosio, which recreates the opera’s very first night at the Arena. Then on August 12, she will once again perform “Aida,” but in Stefano Poda’s 2023 production, with which Netrebko herself opened the 100th Festival. Finally, on August 15, she will portray Abigaille in “Nabucco” in Poda’s production.

Netrebko has performed consistently at the Arena di Verona since 2019, headlining productions of “Aida,” “Nabucco,” “Il Trovatore,” and “Turandot.”
