Anna Netrebko is set to return to Shanghai three years after her last appearance.

This time, the soprano will perform two galas on Oct. 13 and 15  at the Shanghai Oriental Art Center alongside baritone Artur Ruciński, bass Alexander Köpeczi, conductor Michelangelo Mazza, and the Jiaxing Tide Philharmonic Orchestra.

The first half of the program will focus on Giuseppe Verdi’s operas, with Netrebko taking on such roles as Gilda from “Rigoletto,” Leonora from “Il Trovatore,” Elisabetta from “Don Carlo,” and Amelia from “Un Ballo in Maschera.”

The second half will feature selections from Donizetti’s “Anna Bolena” and “Lucia di Lammermoor,” and will conclude with Act three of Tchaikovsky’s “Eugene Onegin.”

Netrebko recently performed a production of “Aida” at the Gran Teatre del Liceu and is set to make her role debut as Judith in “Bluebeard’s Castle” at the Teatro Real followed by performances in Budapest and Rome as well as Vienna.
