Anna Netrebko, Sonya Yoncheva, Lisette Oropesa & Plácido Domingo Lead Arena di Verona’s Revised Summer 2020 Edition
By Francisco SalazarThe Arena di Verona has announced its alternative 2020 Summer Festival entitled “In the Heart of Music.”
The season opens with a concert entitled “Il cuore italiano della Musica” featuring soloists Eleonora Buratto, Donata D’Annunzio Lombardi, Rosa Feola, Barbara Frittoli, Maria José Siri, Daniela Barcellona, Annamaria Chiuri, Veronica Simeoni, Annalisa Stroppa, Fabio Armiliato, Roberto Aronica, Francesco Meli, Saimir Pirgu, Fabio Sartori, Alessandro Corbelli, Roberto Frontali, Leo Nucci, Simone Piazzola, Luca Salsi, Alex Esposito, Ferruccio Furlanetto, Carlo Lepore, Michele Pertusi, Riccardo Zanellato, and Giovanni Andrea Zanon. Katia Ricciarelli will host the concert with Marco Armiliato, Andrea Battistoni, Francesco Ivan Ciampa, and Riccardo Frizza leading the orchestra .

Lisette Oropesa, Marina Viotti, Levy Sekgapane, Alessandro Corbelli, Mario Cassi, and Roberto Tagliavini lead the Rossini Gala with conductor Jader Bignamini the evening.

Leo Nucci stars in a concert performance of Puccini’s “Gianni Schicchi” with Lavinia Bini, Rossana Rinaldi, and Enea Scala. Francesco Ivan Ciampa conducts.
