Anna Netrebko, Sabine Devieilhe, Marina Rebeka, Peter Mattei, Anna Prohaska & Jakub Józef Orliński Lead Philharmonie Luxembourg’s 2025-26 Season

The Philharmonie Luxembourg has announced its 2025-26 season. Here are the vocal performances.

The Orchestra and Coro del Teatro alla Scala will be conducted by Riccardo Chailly in music by Verdi and Rossini.

Performance Date: Sept. 9, 2025


Sir John Eliot Gardiner will conduct the Luxembourg Philharmonic in Mendelssohn’s “Musik zu Ein Sommernachtstraum” and “Die erste Walpurgisnacht.” Sam Cobb, Rebecca Hardwick, Sarah Denbee, Jonathan Hanley, Graham Neal, Alex Ashworth, and Peter Edge.

Performance Date: Sept. 19, 2025


Alois Mühlbacher leads a program entitled “Loopino et le petit homme de la lune.”

Performance Dates: Sept. 20 & 21, 2025


Christoph König conducts the Solistes Européens, Chorale Mixte du Conservatoire de la Ville de Luxembourg, and Maîtrise Sainte-Cécile de la Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Luxembourg in a program of Beethoven, Mendelssohn, and Borodin.

Performance Date: Sept. 22, 2025


Jakub Józef Orliński collaborates with Wojciech Gumiński, Aleksander Dębicz, and Marcin Ułanowski performing #LetsBaRock. 

Performance Date: Sept. 29, 2025


Leopold Hager conducts Wagner and Bruckner with Eva Zaïcik and the Luxembourg Philharmonic.

Performance Date: Oct. 2, 2025


Jochen Schaaf conducts Brahms, Debussy, and Wagner. The concert will feature Neues Rheinisches Kammerorchester, Le Madrigal de Luxembourg, Ensemble Vocal Eurocantica, Trierer Konzertchor, Antje Bitterlich, and Andreas Post.

Performance Date: Oct. 12, 2025


Marc-Antoine Charpentier’s “Les Arts florissants” and “La Descente d’Orphée aux Enfers” will be performed by Les Arts Florissants, William Christie, Josipa Bilić, Camille Chopin, Sarah Fleiss, Tanaquil Ollivier, Sydney Frodsham, Richard Pittsinger, Bastien Rimondi, Attila Varga-Tóth, Olivier Bergeron, and Kevin Arboleda-Oquendo.

Performance Date: Oct. 19, 2025


Voices of Broadway will feature music from West Side Story, Wicked, Elisabeth, Anastasia, and La cage aux folles et autres. The Musique Militaire Grand-Ducale and Lieutenant-Colonel Jean-Claude Braun will lead Anna Felke, Esther Conter, Serge Schonckert, and Fernand Delosch.

Martha Guth, Alessandro Fisher, Armand Rabot, and Graham Johnson perform Schubert.

Performance Date: Oct. 26, 2025


Henry Purcell’s “Songs” will be performed by Véronique Nosbaum, Lilith Verhelst, and Anne-Catherine Bucher.

Il Pomo d’Oro, Francesco Corti, and Anna Prohaska will perform an all baroque program.

Álfheiður Erla Guðmundsdóttir and Kunal Lahiry perform “Migrations” featuring works by Barber, Weill, Wallen, Haydn, Rachmaninov, and Pritchard.

Antonio Grosu conducts Orff’s “Carmina Burana” with Liudmila Lokaichuk, Petru Pavel, and David John Pike. The program will include Maurice Ravel’s Boléro.

The Choir of St Johnʼs College, Cambridge and Thomas Trotter perform works by Adam, Bach, Beamish, Britten, Dove, Dupré, Forbes L’Estrange, Hassler, Ireland, Leroy Anderson, Parsons, Poston, Wallen, and Walton.

Performance Date: Dec. 17, 2025


The Luxembourg Philharmonic, Chœur de Chambre du Conservatoire de la Ville de Luxembourg, Pueri Cantores du Conservatoire de la Ville de Luxembourg, Ivan Boumans, and Pierre Nimax perform Christmas songs.

John Warner conducts Engelbert Humperdinck’s “Hänsel und Gretel.”

The State Choir Latvija and Iveta Apkalna will perform music by Lionel Rogg, William Byrd, Benjamin Britten, Rihards Dubra, Pēteris Vasks, Johann Sebastian Bach, Edward Elgar, Henry Purcell, Thierry Escaich, and Henry Balfour Gardiner.

The Collegium Vocale Gent under Philippe Herreweghe performs Bach with soloists Dorothee Mields,  Alex Potter, Guy Cutting, and Florian Störz.

The Luxembourg Philharmonic, Pueri Cantores du Conservatoire de la Ville de Luxembourg, Community Choir, and Ivan Boumans perform Tim Wollmann and Antoine Pohu’s pOpera. Soloists include Stephany Ortega.
