Anna Netrebko, Javier Camarena, Roberto Alagna & Nadine Sierra Lead Teatro Colon’s 2022 Season

Opera
The season opens with Puccini’s “La Bohème” with Verónica Cangemi, Alexandra Grigoras, Saimir Pirgu, Behzod Davronov, Giuliana Gianfaldoni, María Belén Rivarola, Alfonso Mujica, Armando Noguera, Fernando Radó, Lucas Debevec Mayer, Juan Font, Felipe Carelli, Sergio Spina, and Iván Maier. Alain Guingal conducts the prduction by Stefano Trespidi.
Performance Dates: March 15-27, 2022
Menotti’s “The Consul” will be conducted by Justin Brown and directed by Rubén Szuchmacher The cast will include Leonardo Neiva, Carla Filipcic Holm, Adriana Mastrángelo, Héctor Guedes, Alejandro Spies, and Marisú Pavón.
Performance Dates: May 3-10, 2022
Carlos Vieu conducts Verdi’s “Nabucco” with Stefano Poda directing. Sebastián Catana and Leonardo López Linares star in the title role with Rebeka Lokar and Mónica Ferracani starring as Abigaille. Guadalupe Barrientos, Florencia Machado, Darío Schmunck, Santiago Vidal, Abramo Roselen, and Christian Peregrino round out the cast.

Evelino Pidò conducts Donizetti’s “L’Elisir d’Amore” in a staging by Emilio Sagi. Javier Camarena and Santiago Martínez star as Nemorino while Nadine Sierra and Oriana Favaro sing the role of Adina. Ambrogio Maestri and Ricardo Seguel takes on the iconic role of Dulcamara and Alfredo Daza and Germán Alcántara share the role of Belcore. Florencia Machado and María Luisa Merino round out the cast.
Performance Dates: August 2-10, 2022
Kurt Weill’s “The Seven Deadly Sins” and Bartók’s “Bluebeard’s Castle” will be performed in a double bill with David Poutney directing and Jan Latham-Koenig conducting. Károly Szemerédy and Rinat Shaham star in Bartok’s work.

Ramón Tebar conducts Bizet’s “The Pearl Fishers” with Michal Znaniecki directing. Hasmik Torosyan, Federica Guida, Dmitry Korchak, Santiago Ballerini, Fabián Veloz, Gustavo Feulien, Fernando Radó, and Emiliano Bulacio.
Performance Dates: Oct. 25-Nov. 1, 2022
Anna Netrebko, Yusif Eyvazov, and Željko Lučić star in Puccini’s “Tosca” with Keri-Lynn Wilson conducting. The opera also stars María Pía Piscitelli, Virginia Tola, Marcelo Puente, Enrique Folger, and Fabián Veloz.

Carlos Calleja conducts Puccini’s “Gianni Schicchi” with Carlos Trunsky directing.

César Bustamante conducts Mark Adamo’s “Little Women” with Mariana Ciolfi directing.
