Anna Netrebko Headlines Metropolitan Opera’s Live in Concert Series

Anna Netrebko will continue the Metropolitan Opera’s “Met Stars Live in Concert” series on Feb. 6, 2021.

The event, which will begin at 1:00 p.m. EST, will feature the superstar live from the historic Spanish Riding School in Vienna, Austria.

The soprano will perform her acclaimed “Day and Night” recital featuring Rachmaninoff, Rimsky-Korsakov, and Tchaikovsky as well as selections by Debussy, Dvořák, Fauré, and Strauss. Pavel Nebolsin will accompany the diva on the piano. Mezzo-soprano Elena Maximova will sing duets from Offenbach’s “Les Contes d’Hoffmann” and Tchaikovsky’s “The Queen of Spades.”

The recital will be streamed live via the Met website and will then be available on-demand for 14 days after the premiere.

Netrebko’s recital will be followed in this series by concerts featuring Sonya Yoncheva and Angel Blue. Yoncheva will perform on Feb. 27 while Blue’s date will be announced at a later moment.
