Anna Netrebko Headlines Mariinsky Theatre’s February Lineup

Anna Netrebko is set to return to the Mariinsky Theatre in February for three productions.

The Russian theater announced that Netrebko will return to her acclaimed Tatiana in “Eugene Onegin” after performing the opera in December. The opera will be performed on Feb. 10 and will also star Alexey Markov and Mikhail Petrenko. Valery Gergiev will conduct.

Netrebko will also make her company role debut as “Tosca” on Feb. 14 with Gergiev conducting. Finally, Netrebko will perform “Turandot” on Feb. 25 alongside tenor Yusif Eyvazov and Gergiev at the podium.

The Mariinsky Theatre also announced it will be presenting Verdi’s “Don Carlo” with Yusif Eyvazov, Roman Burdenko, and Ildar Abdrazakov, “Mabeth” with Ekaterina Semenchuk and Vladislav Sulimsky, and “Lohengrin” with Ekaterina Gubanova, Sergei Skorokhodov, Yevgeny Nikitin, and Mikhail Petrenko.
