The Teatro de la Zarzuela de Madrid and Centro Nacional de Difusión Musical (CNDM) have announced a change to their Lied cycle.

The organizations announced that Anna Lucia Richter will replace Juliane Banse on Oct. 13, 2020, who was set to perform the second concert in the famed concert series.

Richter will now perform alongside pianist Ammiel Bushakevitz in a program that includes selections from Mahler’s Des Knaben Wunderhorn, Wolf ‘s Abendbilder, Fussreise, Blumengruss, and Schubert’s Gretchen am Spinnrade, Der Wanderer and den Mond, Wiegenlied, and Abschied.

Richter is a rising star who has performed at the Salzburg Festival, Oper Amsterdam, Berlin Staatsoper, BBC Proms, Lucerne Festival, and Konzerthaus Dortmund. This season she is set to perform at the Berlin Staatsoper in November in a production of “L’Orfeo.”
