Soprano Anna El-Khashem has joined the Opéra de Paris’ production of “Le Nozze di Figaro.”

The soprano, who will interpret the lead role of Susanna, is set to appear in the performances slated for Jan. 21, 23, following Ying Fang, who will step into the production starting on Jan. 15 through Feb. 18, 2022.

El-Khashem revealed on social media that she had been asked to jump into the production during the final dress rehearsals and learned all four acts in just four hours heading into the dress rehearsal.

“So grateful for getting to sing the role I adore so much once again in this magnificent theatre and wishing everyone involved a huge TOI TOI TOI! Corriam tutti a festeggiar,” the soprano wrote on her social media account.

She is the latest cast change in the production, following the withdrawal of Adam Palka from the opera in favor of Luca Pisaroni, who will be taking on the title role throughout the run.

The opera will also star Maria Bengtsson, Peter Mattei, Miah Persson, Lea Desandre, Dorothea Röschmann, James Creswell, Michael Colvin, Christophe Mortane, and Kseniia Proshina.
