Anja Petersen & Christina Landshamer Lead Bamberg Symphony’s 2020-21 Season

The Bamberg Symphony in Germany has announced its 2020-21 season.

For this article we have highlighted the vocal performances.

Jakub Hrůša conducts Anja Petersen in Herrmann and Suk alongside the Berlin Philharmonic. The performance is part of the Musikfest Berlin.

Performance Date: August 31, 2020

Jukka-Pekka Saraste conducts Brahms Deutsche Requiem with Christina Landshamer and Andrè Schuen as soloists and Philharmonischer Chor München.

Performance Date: Sept. 13, 2020

Giovanni Antonini conducts Gesangssolisten and the Dresdner Kammerchor in Mozart’s Requiem. The concert also includes a Bach Cantata and Haydn’s Symphony No. 44.

Performance Dates: March 27-28, 2020

Ingo Metzmacher conducts Stravinsky’s “Perséphone” with Salome Kammer, Maximilian Schmitt and the Kinder des Bamberger Domchors. The program also includes Schumann’s Symphony No. 1.

Performance Dates: April 17-18, 2020
