Angels Vocal Art Opera Festival is set to present Gian Carlo Menotti’s “The Consul” at the Manoukian Performing Arts Center in Pasadena on July 29 and 30, 2023.

The production, which will be conducted by Artistic Director Kristof Van Gysperre, will star Victoria Livengood as The Mother, Elizabeth Baldwin as Magda Sorel, Jacob Bowman as John Sorel, Laura Zahn as The Secretary, Chris Hunter as Nika Magadoff, and Sejin Park as the secret police agent. Chuck Hudson directs.

Angel Vocal Arts Opera Festival previously presented productions of “Il Trittico,” “Candide,” “ANYA17,” and “La Traviata,” among others.
