Angélique Boudeville & Enea Scala Lead L’Opéra Municipal de Marseille’s Stream of ‘La Bohème’ on New Year Eve

L’Opéra Municipal de Marseille has announced that it will broadcast a production of Puccini’s “La Bohème” on Dec. 31, 2020.

The opera will star Angélique Boudeville in the role of Mimì, Enea Scala as Rodolpho, Alexandre Duhamel as Marcel, Régis Mengus in the role of Schaunard, Alessandro Spina as Colline, Lucrezia Drei in the role of Musetta, Antoine Garcin as Benoit, and Jean-Luc Épitalon as Alcindoro.

“As we’re not able to offer live performances due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are happy to announce that we will proceed with the recording of Puccini’s ‘La bohème,’ in agreement with the City of Marseille and the artists of the production,” said the opera house in the statement.

Paolo Arrivabeni will conduct the production by Louis Desiré.

The video will be uploaded on Thursday, Dec. 31, 2020 at 5 p.m. on marseille.fr and opera.marseille.fr and will be available until Saturday, Jan. 30.
