Angela Meade & Carmela Remigio Lead Teatro Regio di Parma’s ‘Norma’

The Teatro Regio di Parma is set to present Bellini’s “Norma.”

The opera, which returns for the first time in 20 years, will be conducted by Sesto Quatrini and will star an international cast led by Angela Meade in the title role. Alongside her, Stefan Pop will sing Pollione, Michele Pertusi will take on Oroveso, and Carmela Remigio will interpret the role of Adalgisa.

Rounding out the cast are John Matthew Myers and Mariangela Marini.

The work will be brought in a new staging by Nicola Berloffa which is a co-production with the Teatro Municipale di Piacenza and Teatro Comunale di Modena. Andrea Belli is the set designer, while costume designer is Valeria Donata Bettella and Marco Giusti is the lighting designer.

“Norma” is set to open on March 18 and run through March 27, 2022.
