Angela Gheorghiu Announces New Album

Decca Classics has announced Angela Gheorghiu’s latest CD.

The company announced the album entitled “Plaisir d’amour,” which is set to celebrate the Romanian soprano’s 25th anniversary since her first recording.

The soprano stated, “Celebrating 25 years since my debut recording with Decca Classics, my very first record label, I am thrilled to present my new recital album – Plaisir d’amour – to be released on November 15th! Accompanied on the piano by a very promising young pianist, Alexandra Dariescu, I hope you will love our journey.”

The new album will mark the soprano’s first CD since Eternamente in 2017 which marked her comeback to the studio and “Plaisir d’amour” will mark her first album for Decca Classics since 1997.

Gheorghiu recently performed a recital at the Opernhaus Zürich and is set to sing in Hamburg, London, Berlin, and Brussels.
