Angel Blue to Receive 2023 Wharton Arts Lifetime Achievement Award

Grammy Award-winning soprano Angel Blue will receive the 2023 Wharton Arts Lifetime Achievement Award.

On Mar. 9, 2023,  Blue will be honored with the prestigious award for her many historic performances and contributions to the performing arts world.

She will perform Puccini’s “O mio babbino caro” and special collaborations with students from the New Jersey Youth Chorus, New Jersey Youth Symphony, and Paterson Music Project.

Executive Director of Wharton Arts Peter H. Gistelinck praised the soprano in a press release stating, “Angel Blue is not only an amazing internationally recognized and celebrated opera singer with huge credentials, but also represents the tenacity and courage necessary to persist in the professional world of classical music. Her career and life path are testimonies to this, and she definitely is an example to all of us.”

Past recipients of the Wharton Arts Lifetime Achievement Award include Jamie Bernstein, John Debney, and Paul Shaffer.
