Angel Blue Launches Fourth Season of ‘Faithful Friday’

By Francisco Salazar

Angel Blue has launched the fourth season of her show “Faithful Friday.”

The season launched on Dec. 3 with OperaWire’s David and Francisco Salazar and is set to welcome a new lineup of inspiring individuals which includes Renee Fleming, “Fire Shut Up in My Bones” co-star Will Liverman, jazz singer and producer Sacha Boutros, author Wendy Randall (“Once There Was a Girl”), and singers Karen Slack, Tichina Vaughn, and Quinn Kelsey.

Angel Blue began the series during the pandemic and has thus far interviewed such celebrated artists as Anna Netrebko, Laverne Cox, Thomas Hampson, Cat Cora, Russell Thomas in collaboration with LA Opera, and Frederica von Stade, among others.

Blue is one of the most sought-after singers in the world and is also an accomplished presenter having studied journalism in addition to music. She has hosted on the BBC’s arts programming (the Proms, Cardiff Singer of the World) and “Faithful Fridays” is an amalgamation of her two creative loves, singing and presenting, and her vulnerable disposition, pragmatic discussions about the arts, keen intuition, and infectious enthusiasm for learning someone’s story take the viewer on a fascinating, uplifting, and inspiring journey.
