Andriana Chuchman, Mario Chang, Larisa Martínez Headline Festival Napa Valley 2022

Festival Napa Valley has unveiled its 2022 festival, which is set to take place between July 9-23, 2022.

For the purposes of this article, our focus will be on vocal events.

Kicking things off will be the Novack Concert for Kids starring the Young People’s Chorus of New York City.

Performance Date: July 14, 2022

The Young People’s Chorus of New York City will also appear in “Jubilee!” which will feature a world premiere performance.

Performance Date: July 16, 2022

Next up will be “L’Elisir d’amore” by the Donizetti Festival Orchestra Napa. Gemma New will conduct a cast starring Andriana Chuchman as Adina, Mario Chang as Nemorino, and soprano Mikayla Sager. Jean-Romain Vesperini will direct.

Performance Date: July 22, 2022

Joshua Bell and soprano Larisa Martínez will join forces for “Voice and the Violin.” They will be joined by the Festival Orchestra Napa.

Performance Date: July 23, 2022

UPDATE: Festival Napa Valley has added new performances to its program to support Ukraine and feature Ukrainian performers.

The additional performances include Ukrainian composer Valentin Silvestrov’s “Prayer for Ukraine” which will commence the festival and “A Night at the Ballet: From Tchaikovsky to The Rolling Stones dance gala,” which will star American Ballet Theatre principal dancer and native of Ukraine, Christine Shevchenko, as well as dance icons Melanie Hamrick and Joanna DeFelice.
