Andrea Bocelli’s Metropolitan Opera Appearance Canceled Due to Coronavirus

By Francisco Salazar

Andrea Bocelli‘s upcoming Metropolitan Opera concert has been canceled due to the coronavirus.

The performance, scheduled for April 20, was set to mark Bocelli’s returned to the famed house.

In a statement the tenor said, “It is with deep regret that we have to cancel my upcoming performance at the Metropolitan Opera House. My sincerest apologies to my fans who were looking forward to it as much as I was but, the health and safety of my fans must remain a priority during this difficult time. We will all get through this together and very soon we will be together again!”

All tickets will be refunded in approximately 30 days.

The announcement comes as no surprise as the Metropolitan Opera canceled the remainder of its 2019-20 season due to the coronavirus outbreak.
