Ana Maria Martinez To Join Orquesta Filarmonica De Gran Canaria’s 2019-20 Season

The Orquesta Filarmonica de Gran Canaria has announced its 2019-20 season. For this article, we will only showcase vocal concerts. Here is a look.

Gunther Herbig conducts Estefania Perdomo in Mateo’s Cantata and Brahms Symphony No.1.

Performance Date: Nov. 15, 2019

Ana María Martinez and Joel Prieto star in Noche Espanola with Karel Mark Chichon conducting.

Performance Date: Dec. 13, 2019

The season will end with a concert featuring excerpts from “Madama Butterfly” and “Der Rosenkavalier.” Karel Mark Chichon will conduct the evening which is set to feature sopranos Celia Costea, Elisandra Melian, and mezzo-soprano Elisabeth Jansson. Tenor Ho-Yoon Chung rounds out the cast.

Performance Date: July 10, 2020

The season will also include soloists Gabriela Montero, and Steven Isserlis and conductors Charles Dutoit and Lynn Keri-Wilson.
