Ana María Martínez, Jonathan Tetelman, Renée Fleming & Quinn Kelsey Lead LA Opera’s 2024-25 Season

The LA Opera has announced its 2024-25 season. Here is a look at the entire season.

Mainstage

Karah Son sings the title role in Puccini’s “Madama Butterfly” with Jonathan Tetelman, Hyona Kim, and Michael Sumuel also starring. James Conlon conducts the production by Mario Gas.

Performance Dates: Sept. 21-Oct. 13 2024

Gounod’s “Roméo et Juliette” returns for the first time since 2011. Duke Kim, Amina Edris, Justin Austin, Wei Wu, and Craig Colclough star with Domingo Hindoyan and Lina González-Granados alternating at the podium.

Performance Dates: Nov. 2-23, 2024

Mozart’s “Così fan tutte” will star Erica Petrocelli, Rihab Chaieb, Anthony León, Justin Austin, Ana María Martínez, and Rod Gilfry. James Conlon conducts the new production by Michael Cavanagh.

Performance Dates: March 8-30, 2025

Ana María Martínez, Daniela Mack, and Vanessa Becerra lead Osvaldo Golijov’s “Ainadamar” with Lina González-Granados conducting the new production by Deborah Colker.

Performance Dates: April 26-May 18, 2025

Quinn Kelsey stars in the title role of Verdi’s “Rigoletto” with Rosa Feola, René Barbera, Peixin Chen, and Sarah Saturnino. James Conlon conducts the production by Tomer Zvulun.

Performance Dates: May 31-June 21 2025

Concerts

Kristin Chenoweth Holiday Concert will showcase the Broadway star with the LA Opera Orchestra.

Performance Date: Dec. 14, 2024

Broadway star Kelli O’Hara will sing a concert with the LA Opera Orchestra.

Performance Date: Feb. 1, 2025

Angel Blue will appear in concert with the LA Opera Orchestra under the baton of Lina González-Granados.

Performance Date: March 15, 2025

The final concert will be Renée Fleming and Friends with the LA Opera Orchestra.

Performance Date: June 14, 2025

LA Opera Off Grand 

“Dracula (1931 Spanish version)” will be presented with Live Orchestra. Lina González-Granados leads a new LAO-commissioned score by the Oscar-winning Argentinian composer Gustavo Santaolalla.

Performance Dates: Oct. 25, 26, 27, 2024

Benjamin Bernheim will perform in recital with Carrie-Ann Matheson.

Performance Date: Nov. 9, 2024

Led by conductor and founder Christophe Rousset, the acclaimed music ensemble Les Talens Lyriques will take audiences to the Court of Versailles, with a concert of music by French Baroque masters Jean-Baptiste Lully and François Couperin as well as the lesser-known Michel Lambert and Michel Pignolet de Montéclair.

Ryan Speedo Green and Adam Nielsen team up for a recital.

Performance Date: Jan. 19, 2025

Mary Kouyoumdjian and Royce Vavrek’s “Adoration will be presented directed by Laine Rettmer and conducted by Alan Pierson.

Performance Dates: Feb. 19-23, 2025

Joshua Guerrero and Peter Walsh will present a recital.
