Amina Edris, Pene Pati, Camille Schnoor, & Vanessa Goikoetxea Lead Opéra de Limoges’ 2021-22 Season

Opéra de Limoges has announced its 2021-22 season. Here is a look at the operatic and vocal performances.

Goyescas” features Vanessa Goikoetxea, Kévin Amiel, Armando Noguera, and Héloïse Mas. Robert Tuohy conducts.

Performance dates: Nov. 7 – 9, 2021

Clémentine Bourgoin, Pierre Lebon, Flannan Obé, and Antoni Sykopoulos perform Olivier Py’s production of “L’Amour vainqueur.”

Performance dates: Nov. 26 – 27, 2021

A performance of Beethoven‘s Symphony No. 9 “Choral” spotlights Ilse Eerens, Victoire Bunel, Pene Pati, and Zoltan Nagy. François-Frédéric Guy conducts the Orchestre et choeur de l’Opéra de Limoges.

Performance date: Dec. 31, 2021

Soprano Diana Axentii, tenor Matthieu Justine, and baritone Marc Scoffoni perform works by Rossini, Donizetti, and Mozart. Philippe Forget conducts.

Performance dates: Jan. 7 – 11, 2022

Amina Edris performs Violetta Valéry, Nicolas Darmanin portrays Alfredo Germont, and Elia Fabbian takes on Giorgio Germont in Chloé Lechat’s production of Verdi‘s “La Traviata.” Yete Queiroz, Stéphanie Coterez, Matthieu Justine, Francesco Salvadori, Christian Treguier, and Guy Bonfiglio round out the cast with Robert Tuohy conducting.

Performance dates: Feb. 6 – 12, 2022

A double bill of Offenbach’s “Les deux aveugles” and Gian Carlo Menotti’s “The Telephone” stars tenors Martial Andrieu and Christophe Gateau, soprano Marine Boustie, and baritone Jamie Rock. Élisabeth Brusselle plays a piano.

Performance date: Feb. 20, 2022

Violette Polchi interprets Caprice, and Sheva Tehoval portrays Fantasia in Olivier Fredj’s production of Offenbach‘s “Le Voyage dans la Lune.” Jennifer Michel, Cécile Galois, Matthieu Lécroart, Thibaut Desplantes, Kaëlig Boché, Eric Vignau, and Pierre-Antoine Chaumien round out the cast with Pierre Dumoussaud conducting.

Performance dates: March 9 – 13, 2022

Soprano Chiara Skerath presents Alban Berg‘s “Sieben frühe Lieder” alongside conductor Robert Tuohy and the Orchestre de l’Opéra de Limoges.

Performance date: April 15, 2022

Brian Register performs Bacchus, and Camille Schnoor stars in the title role in Richard Strauss‘ “Ariadne auf Naxos.” The cast also includes Julie Robart-Gendre, Liudmilla Lokaichuk, Paul Schweinester, Léo Vermot-Desroches, Christophe Gay, Nicolas Brooymans, Christian Miedl, Jeanne Mendoche, Iida Antola, and Agatha Schmidt. Robert Tuohy conducts a production by Jean-Philippe Clarac & Olivier Deloeuil.

Performance dates: May 15 – 19, 2022

Opera “L’Odyssée” showcases Jeanne Crousaud, Fabien Hyon, and Laurent Deleuil alongside Le Quatuor Debussy. David Gauchard is the director.
