Amina Edris, Julia Muzychenko, Hélène Carpentier & Mélissa Petit Lead Opéra de Limoges’ 2022-23 Season

France’s Opéra de Limoges has announced its 2022-23 season featuring five productions.

The season opens with Saint-Saëns’ “La Princesse jaune” under the direction of Philippe Forget. Alexandra Lacroix directs the production which stars Camille Schnoor and François Rougier.

Performance Dates: Nov. 6 & 8, 2022

Julien Dran, Mélissa Petit, Jean Luc Ballestra, François Rougier, Sophie Marin-Degor, Cécile Galois, and Edouard Portal perform “La Dame Blanche” with Fayçal Karoui conducting and Pauline Bureau directing.

Performance Dates: Jan. 29 & 31, 2023

Pavel Baleff conducts Gounod’s “Faust” in a production by Claude Brumachon and Benjamin Lamarche. Julien Dran, Amina Edris, Nicolas Cavallier, David Bizic, and Éléonore Pancrazi star.

Performance Dates: March 15-19, 2023

Beatrice Venezi conducts Bellini’s “La Sonnambula” with Francesca Lattuada directing. Julia Muzychenko stars in the title role alongside Marco Ciaponi, Francesca Pia Vitale, and Aliaksey Birkus.

Performance Dates: April 7 & 9, 2023

Hélène Carpentier, Héloïse Mas, Marie Eve Munger, Julie Pasturaud, and Matthieu Lécroart star in Massenet’s “Cendrillon” with Robert Tuohy conducting and Ezio Toffolutti directing.

Performance Dates: May 12-16, 2023
