The American Classical Orchestra (ACO), New York City’s leading period orchestra, returns to the stage after two years to perform a program titled “Renew.”

The orchestra will be joined by the ACO chorus and soloists soprano Chloe Holgate, mezzo-soprano Helen Karloski who was featured on a Grammy Award-winning recording, tenor Lawrence Jones, and bass Steven Eddy. Founder and Artistic Director Thomas Crawford conducts.

The April 5 concert at Lincoln Center will feature the work of J.S. Bach. The program includes Bach’s Easter Oratorio, BWV 249 and “Jesu, meine Feude,” BWV 227.

Concerts that were postponed due to COVID such as “The Chaconne Project,” Mozart’s “Requiem,” and the world premiere of Thomas Crawford’s “Elegy for Strings” have been rescheduled for the 2022-23 season.
