The Palau de les Arts in Valencia is set to present Verdi’s “Falstaff.”

The Spanish theater will present the opera in a production by Mario Martone and will star Ambrogio Maestri in his signature role.

He will be accompanied by an all-star cast that includes Ainhoa Arteta as Alice Ford, Violeta Urmana as Miss Quickly, and Davide Luciano as Ford. Daniele Rustioni will conduct the production which also stars Juan Francisco Gatell as Fenton, Jorge Rodríguez Norton as Dr. Cajus, Joel Williams as Bardolfo, Antonio Di Matteo as Pistola, Sarah Blanch as Nannetta, and Chiara Amarù as Meg Page.

“Falstaff” is set to run from March 2 through March 14, 2021. The production will be followed by “Tristan und Isolde” and “Cavalleria Rusticana” and “Pagliacci.”
