Soprano Amanda Majeski will be offering up a recital alongside her husband bass-baritone Samuel Handley on Saturday, Feb. 13, 2020.

The online showcase, which will be offered courtesy of the Sheboygan Symphony Orchestra, will also feature pianist Emile Blascyz as he accompanies the duo in music by Schumann, Chopin, Vaughan Williams, Wolf, Lerner and Loewer, and Rodgers and Hammerstein, among others.

“Covid has closed doors and opened windows in many ways. I’m so excited that despite the many cancellations, my husband and I have been gifted the opportunity to give back to our neighborhood and community who have given so much to us,” Majeski told OperaWire. “I’m honored to sing this recital next to my Husband, Sam, with our dear Sheboygan Symphony, a mere five-minute walk from our cozy Wisconsin home!  This is a celebration of love in all its forms, as it has truly been our love for one another and our common love of music that continues to help us through our shared struggle and grief.”

The free concert can be viewed via the Sheboygan Symphony Orchestra’s official website.
