Alternative Classical Launches Concert Roulette

By Logan Martell

In its mission to engage audience with classical music in this time of social distancing, Alternative Classical has announced Concert Roulette, a jukebox comprised of over 200 high-definition YouTube videos curated by the company. Meant to help people discover music, the list of concert performances includes genres such as renaissance, classical, romantic, baroque, contemporary, and more. The list also draws upon famous, as well as less-known, musical groups such as The King’s Singers, 2CELLOS, the Academy of Ancient Music, London Sinfonietta, Detroit Symphony Orchestra, and more.

Concert Roulette takes inspiration from the online chat website Chat Roulette, and will allow listeners to skip performances as they see fit.

Alternative Classical is a UK-based organization that seeks to connect new audiences to classical music and explore new approaches to programming.
