Allan Clayton, Fleur Barron, Huw Montague Rendall, Lucy Crowe Headline Garsington Opera 2026 Season

Garsington Opera has announced a second season of its concert series presented in association with Wigmore Hall.

Tenor Allan Clayton and pianist Paul Lewis return with a performance of Schubert’s “Die schöne Müllerin.”

Performance Date: Sep. 10, 2026


Mezzo-soprano Fleur Barron and pianist Joseph Middleton perform a program of Mahler, Schubert, Charles Ives, and George Crumb.

Performance Date: Sep. 26, 2026


Baritone Huw Montague Rendall and pianist Carrie-Ann Matheson perform a program including Vaughan Williams’ “Songs of Travel” and Jonathan Dove’s “Three Love Songs,” with words by David Rendall.

Performance Date: March 5, 2027


Soprano Lucy Crowe and pianist Anna Tilbrook perform a program of Schubert, Schumann, Mendelssohn, Wolf, Strauss, and Josephine Lang.

Performance Date: March 23, 2027


The English Concert, led by Artistic Director Harry Bicket, closes the season with a performance of Bach’s “St. Matthew Passion” featuring the orchestra’s resident choir and soloists to be announced.

Performance Date: March 25, 2027
